The first production of the IJIL journal concentrates its study of Islamic law on the theme “Dialectics between universal values and local wisdom in the theorization of Islamic law in Indonesia.”. With a fair double-peer review procedure, the IJIL journal invites scholars and researchers to examine this topic from various perspectives, ranging from the perspective of Maqasid al-Shariah, social, and gender, to the perspectives of power relations and identity.
