Review Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Elementary School Education will undergo a blind review process.
Reviewers are assigned to conduct an evaluation that includes the analysis and assessment of the manuscript's suitability for publication in the Journal of Elementary School Education. Reviewers are expected to consider the following points before beginning the review:

  • Is the manuscript within your area of expertise? (If the manuscript does not match your area of specialization, please inform the managing editor.)

  • Do you have sufficient time to review the manuscript? (The review process should be completed within two weeks of receiving the manuscript. If you are unable to meet this deadline and require more time, please contact the managing editor.)

  • Is there any conflict of interest regarding the manuscript? (If you have a conflict of interest with the manuscript, please inform the managing editor immediately.)

  • Is there any indication of plagiarism in the manuscript? (If you suspect plagiarism, please contact the managing editor without delay.)

Review Process:

Title: Does the title clearly represent the content of the manuscript?

Abstract: Does the abstract accurately reflect the content of the manuscript?

Introduction:
The introduction should provide general background information and state the research questions or hypotheses. A literature review should also be included in this section.

Does the manuscript comply with the required journal writing guidelines?

Content of the Manuscript:

  • If related topics have been previously published, does this manuscript avoid redundancy or conflict with prior work?

  • Does the manuscript present new insights, in-depth knowledge, and interesting points that justify publication?

  • Does the manuscript contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge?

  • Are the main theories or references used relevant and aligned with the research?

Methodology:

  • Does the author clearly describe how the data were collected?

  • Does the article answer the research questions?

  • Are new methods used? If so, are they described in sufficient detail?

Results and Discussion:

The results should clearly present the author's findings and be written in a logical order. Reviewers should assess whether appropriate analysis has been carried out.

Conclusion:

The conclusion should contain recommendations and a summary of the study. The summary should include responses relevant to the research objectives or findings. It should not simply repeat the results or discussion. Any recommendations should relate to the research concept or offer suggestions for improvement.

Tables and Figures:

Tables and figures must be relevant to the content of the article and should include clear source references (such as books, journals, websites, or other sources).

References:

Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is listed in the reference section and follows the American Psychological Association (APA) style.
The reference list must primarily consist of primary sources (such as scholarly journals), comprising at least 80% of the total references, and should be published within the last ten (10) years.
Each article should include a minimum of ten (10) references.

Writing Guidelines:

Please write your manuscript in proper and clear Indonesian language that is engaging and easy to understand, and adheres to the Enhanced Spelling System (Ejaan yang Disempurnakan / EYD).
