 Publication Procedure:

 ARKHAS: Journal of Arabic Language Teaching

Interested in submitting a manuscript to ARKHAS: Journal of Arabic Language Teaching? We recommend authors carefully review the About the Journal section, including its focus and scope, and the Author Guidelines before submission. Authors must register on the journal's website before submitting a manuscript. If registered, they may log in to proceed with the five-step submission process;
. By submitting a manuscript to ARKHAS, the authors affirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication in another journal. Authors must also ensure they have secured all necessary permissions for any data, figures, or materials in the manuscript.
. Manuscripts must be prepared in strict accordance with the journal's formatting guidelines. Non-compliance may result in delays or rejection during the preliminary assessment stage. The quality of metadata and formatting significantly impacts the article's discoverability and indexing in digital databases.
. Clear, fluent, and grammatically correct English and Arabic are essential requirements. Manuscripts containing significant language issues will not proceed beyond the initial screening. Authors are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission.
. All submissions must be prepared using the ARKHAS manuscript template in Microsoft Word format and submitted exclusively through the online submission system. Only electronic submissions via the journal's website are accepted. Please [login here] to submit your manuscript.
. Manuscripts must be written in Arabic and English, and all citations and references must be formatted according to the latest edition (7th edition) of the American Psychological Association (APA) style. Submissions not adhering to the journal’s formatting and style guidelines will be returned to the authors for revision before the review stage.

ARKHAS is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal. While it is not a commercial publication, maintaining and enhancing the platform, expanding journal capacity, and implementing technical upgrades require operational support.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-masked peer review process that aligns with international standards. This ensures that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation to eliminate potential bias based on nationality, institutional affiliation, or author prominence. Reviewers are appointed by the Editor-in-Chief and serve voluntarily.

Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review. Authors must submit a revised version within six weeks of notification if revisions are requested. The system will issue reminders every two weeks. Revised manuscripts submitted after the six-week window may be treated as new submissions.

Once accepted, the corresponding author will receive page proofs (in PDF format) for final proofreading before publication. Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy of the final version. The Editor-in-Chief holds the authority to make final decisions regarding publication.

ARKHAS uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) version 3.0.1.0, an open-source platform the Public Knowledge Project developed for journal management and publishing.
